In 2010 le coq sportif opened a Textile Development Centre in Romilly-sur-Seine, where the French tricolour brand was originally born from the know-how & passion of Emile Camuset. In April 2012 le coq sportif has once again become the sports apparel manufacturer it was in the past, opening a new production facility. Located in a renovated former factory beside the Development Centre, the facility has an average production capacity of 75k pieces per year. Setting up in Romilly Sur Seine, first of all with the development centre, then the new production plant is a way of designing a product in house before production.

Le coq sportif & Amaury Sport Organisation announce their partnership for the 2012 season A.S.O. cycling events, at the forefront of which is the Tour de France. A historical moment, as from 1951 the production workshop of le coq sportif was the official supplier of team jerseys for the Tour de France. For 40 years, the most famous riders, from Jacques Anquetil to Bernard Hinault & Eddy Merckx, pulled on jerseys bearing the le coq sportif logo. From July 2012, le coq sportif will become the official supplier of the Tour de France & stamp its image on the jerseys of the leading cyclists – the Yellow, the Green, the Polka Dot & the White Jersey: the perfect gift to celebrate the brand’s 130th anniversary.
